Short film soundtrack composed and recorded with Mixcraft

Post by UilleannB »

“Endlosschleife” is a student’s short film directed by Matthias Herrmann in 2006. My little brother was working as cinematographer and cutter of the project.

The original movie tells its story without words or music. This version is my 1st attempt in composing a soundtrack. It may also serve to illustrate the differences in tone that can be achieved by the use of music or silence:

The original version can be found here:

The soundtrack can be downloaded here:

Hope you enjoy it. (The movie is quite funny imho, it still makes me laugh.)

First off, I loved the film. So much tension over shoelaces! Second, I always wanted to try sound tracking, I think it would be fun. You nailed it! I think that was awesome!

Ha ha, thanks. I was worried whether many people share this humor. I showed it a Chinese friend recently and she said: I don't get it - what is this film about? Cultural humor differences, I guess 8)
