Thanks Tom. She's getting so good that I'm going to have to try and pick out some breaks.

Nice old time fiddle playing! Love it!

Theres only two problems with this track. One is its too short. Need to repeat it a few times and make it an old time jam!
The second problem is that theres something missing. Not quite sure what.......... 8)

Why don't you just jump right in Mark 'an get a piece?

I liked this wonderful version. We could use a mandolin. I suppose you have one of those too?

We'll have something together by Aug 8 because we're taking it on stage. Join us if you can.

Awesome interpretation, Mark.

Like my note said, its not me......
I love old time banjo and play a little banjo. Never said I was good!
And I heard the Mando version, it plays after yours on Soundcloud. It is a nice version too!
I contemplated morphing the three together, they almost fit, but there's no "breaks" which would make it a little tricky to get right.

No, I dont have one. I have three! Now how could I have just one! (Secret trick. Buy one and tell your wife its for her!)

Crazy Creek is cool in part because its not from the usual commonly played library of old time fiddle songs. Cool song from "the back of the rack!"
Hmm, key of G right? But I think its got an odd Bb..... Modal touch maybe. These tunes SEEM simple, but rarely are.......
Love it!

Funny you should write that. Early on she was having trouble with her rotator cup and I did just that. She got better and the mandolin ended up somewhere near Branson.

Thanks. Git chords are:

Am to C F/C/E7
F/C F/E6

It ends up with an Am7 with a pinky on the G. (That's pro talk for I have no idea what chord that is but it's possible that McCartney used it in Rocky Raccoon somewhere.) -h

If I understand you correctly, G instead of an open E on the high E string?
Thats just a different voicing of Am7. A second G instead of a second E. (The G in the chord is what makes it a 7th.)
Standard first position Am7 is (Excluding the muted low E string) A E G C E or 1 5 7 3 5
Your alternative is A E G C G or 1 5 7 3 7.
I think.....

I have some sheet music around here somewhere, I know I do. (searching) 8)

That's it. (IMHO that's the only chord one should play for the ending of that particular song.)

I couldn't find that variation on my cheap chord chart. There is a +G chord on the charts but it's on the deeper end.

Oh, but you can have it all for just a few smackers. Check your PM. -h
