Jane has a strong hook. I wrote it many moons ago. It was inspired by a broken heart.
Drums are a mix of MIDI and Mixcraft loops.
Guitar is a Strat style Yamaha with a humbucker in the bridge position. Amp is a simulator.
Bass is a Fender Jazz going through a guitar amp simulator.
Vocal Mic is a cheap Peavey. Some compression and delay on the vocals.
Room reverb and high mids boost on the entire mix.
Enjoy.

Guitar reminds me of early tracks by the Stranglers. I'm not sure about the track length, for the genre I usually think of 2 and a half minutes or less, but maybe you think of it differently.

Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio (64bit)
AMD Ryzen 8 Core 3.0 GHz,
2TB SSD etc, 40GB RAM,
Windows 10 Professional
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (Audio Interface)

When I used to listen to songs that I liked I always wanted them to last longer especially when the band was jamming at the end. 2 - 3 minute songs were made for radio.

In the best cover bands I was in we didn’t allow noodle-doodling.

No free-style solos either, we played it like the albums. However IMO, with the right musicians, jamming is way fun and rules!!!
