Production job for a friend

A friend of mine, Tony Mawdesley, is a great singer-songwriter and he kindly let me have a go at some of his material, as a producer/remixer.
I got the raw files from him and imported them into Mixcraft.

I took a basic arrangement of guitar/vox and brush drums and changed/added new drums and re-mixed/re-EQ'd... well you get the idea.

I tried a mastering plugin for the first time and I think it might be a bit heavy, so any feedback on this and all other aspects, genuinely appreciated!

Cheers :)
Tim.

Good job, pretty song... But I think it could use a little color (strings, keys) added, just a touch here and there to help put the icing on the cake.

Hi Joe - thanks, I think you're right.
He didn't really want me to 'fancy it up' too much, but I take your point :)
Also, I've just realised it's way too compressed, so I'm replacing it with an uncompressed master.
Thanks again :)
Tim.
