New song

Post by M@rkus »

Hi, folks!

It´s been a while, hope you all are well!

This in my new song. It´s recorded in 432 hz, which works fine with bass and guitar, but was tricky with the saxophone...
Acoustic guitar tuned in DADGAD, electric guitar tuned in standard tuning. Drums were wav, samples that I pasted together...it tokk a while...

A song about present times, I think you all know what I´m talking about. Hard to translate rhyme in Swedish to English, but I did my best. I think you get the gist of it...

https://soundcloud.com/lex-cox-coyne/na ... -was-young

When I was young I always thought,
that the day never turned to night.
That the sun always shone on those,
who knew from where they came.

Soon I learned that it was the other way around,
that the sun always shone on those,
who knew that the day turned into night,
who went to the bank with a smile.

So there was no house in Provence,
there was no buisness avance...
It became a struggle between day and night,
and the one who fought, was I.

But somewhere deep inside I always knew,
that the night always turnes to day.
That the light always prevails,
that there´s always a way out.

There was a house in Provence,
there was a buisness avance.
There was a struggle between day and night,
and the one who won, was I.

So there was a lesson to be tought,
for us to understand.
That everything we wish for,
we could also get.

There was a house,
there was a house,
there was a house in Provence.
There was a buisness avance...

Great mix and tune as usual! What did you use for the harmonic lead on the guitar! Sounds superb! :D

Hi, outteh!

Thanks for your kind comment!
For the harmonic pinch I used the middle position on my homemade Les Paul, and I tuned the guitar to the same chord I wanted to use. Then I doubled the harmonics with the acoustic guitar, I think....

Best regards/
