Great job with beatcraft!
The guitar tone is much too buzzy for my taste but still the song is awesome! Reminds me of music from Finland which is always dark and "lord of the rings-ish", like Nightwish.
Very unique way of writing dude!
Did you use Mixcraft to do the recording?

HI!
No! No Mixcraft! Not to happy about recording the music on the pc! HEHE
I have a new Korg d 3200 Rec studio! :)
My Problem is that I`m not to good with the mixdown, it sounds killer when I play the songs through the KORG D 3200. I have THX Speakers. But when I play it trough a home stereo system, or on the pc`s it sounds like what you just heard. Not to good!! :) The drums migth be a little low on this last song, but thats becouse I dont want the Hihats and symbals to be distorded when I turn the songs to MP3`s. Maby you can help me with some of this problems???
I must say that a new world opened to me when I discovered Beatcraft! :)
Thanx!!!
P.S We are recording an E.P. this summer in a proffesional studio. Then we migth hire a real drummer, but we also migth use the B.C: Not desided yet! SeeYAH!

In my experience, those all in one recording console things always sound bad. We used a couple and were never happy with the sound.
You might try Mixcraft, you will get a much better sound and plug-ins are available all over the place to give you anything you want as far as eq, compressors, delays, etc...

If you turn the drums up in the mix, this is not going to make cymblas distort.

When rendering your drum track from Beatcraft, create a wave file, not Mp3. Wave's are lossless (perfect quality).
Once your song is done and you need an mp3, keep at 192Kb/s or higher so you still get cd quality.

Thanx alot for the help. I will try Mixcraft. :)
I never render the drumtrack to Mp3... Always to Wave.
But my experience is that when the hole song is done,
and I convert it to Mp3, thats when the symbals and especially the hihat get this "distorted" sound! :) Like their clipping or how I should put it! I`m from Norway, so it`s not so easy to explain what I mean in English! HEHE!
But anyway, Thanx a lot for the help.
P.S. The distorted sound only comes on the pc speakers, so it migth not be a big problem?

If you render to a low bitrate mp3, yes the high end is the first thing that is noticed as sounding bad. This would usually be the hi hat or cymbals.
If it's just on your pc speakers, then you might have the high on your players eq toofar up???
Norway? That explains why your song sounded like Nightwish :-)

HEHEHE!!!! Nigthwish???
If you really think it sounds a tiny tiny bit like Nigthwish,
I would say THANK you.
I dont listen much to them, but I do think they are good, but now when the female singer quit,
I dont think it will ever be the same: But who knows???
Even though I`m old,HEHE :) I think that Metallica have influenced me the most.
I know I can just just lower the high tones on the eq, but I keep thinking that other people have the same sound on their pc speakers, and that they dont lower the eq, they just turn the song off!!! HEHEHE!
Maby its just me who`s crazy!!!
Well thanx, and I promise to try the mixcraft but I `m in love with the KORG D 3200. Maby not soundwise? but userwise? Dont think those are the rigth words! HAHA!
See Yah!

Yes I am very upset that Tarja left the band, they were one of my favorites :-(
That's funny you say Metallica influenced you because I was in a Metallica tribute for many years. I was the "James" figure.

We played once at Arizona State, maybe that's where you heard of us?

Yep, it is easy. And with plug-in support, it's like a never ending growth of a product. You can add equalizers and delays units and anything else you come across.

Cool!
I think I`m gonna use the D3200 also. Like plugging the gitar, bass, keybords
into the d3200 to get the sound I want, and then plug the d3200 to the mix craft, and record everything in mix craft?
Do I have to buy a really good sound card?
Thanx for all the answers you have given me :)
