Since Mixcraft 4...

Post by rockisland580 »

Hey Mixcraft fam.

I love Mixcraft.
I've been using it since I was 12/13, and I'm 25 now. Since Mixcraft 4!
The software has made so many awesome improvements over the years. MX9 is incredibly powerful.

Here are some links to my mixes over the years. Starting from oldest to newest. I don't have any mixes from MX4 days, but some of these are from MX5 and beyond.
I hope you enjoy!

(Side note, my most recent mixes have been charting on RepostExchange (by SoundCloud) in the Top 40 for both All Genres and Pop/Rock.
My song 'Drowning Stones' made it to #2 all genres, which is super cool!

I hope you all enjoy!

Old song, Winter/Christmas inspired: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/wh ... ul-weather
Old song, instrumental: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/at ... y-eternity
First song I ever put on iTunes back in my Sophomore high school days: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/my-summer-coda
First song I ever did with my brother (didn't realize he could sing), it's a dance song in 7/4: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/its-overhead
After learning how awesome he could sing, we started doing more originals: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/ocean
And we eventually made some pirate shanties (these got 'big' on YouTube [100k+ views combined]): https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/leave-her-johnny
Newer song I made with my brother: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/silica
My #2 All Genre song: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/drowning-stones
My most recent song that is currently charting: https://soundcloud.com/rockisland580/foreign

I really hope you all enjoy! Mixcraft is such a powerful program and getting better every year.
I can't wait for NeuralDSP support. As an avid guitarist, NeuralDSP provides some of the most powerful guitar amp sims at a really affordable rate. It doesn't integrate incredibly well with Mixcraft, I have a lot of issues, but I love both softwares so I'm making it work.

Thank you, Acoustica, for this awesome software. It's so easy to use.
And thank you for checking out my music!

Wow! Excellent. I really like "Foreign". And apparently, so do a lot of other people. Great vibe. I like how you're not afraid to rest, pick up the pace and rest again. Not necessarily danceable, but who cares? Congrats!

Very good, better than my first efforts on Mixcraft 4 (not that I've improved much since).

Thanks so much! Appreciate it! :D
I improvise my guitar parts as I write them, I think of it as very vibey - ya know? More fun that way and keeps the process flowing.

Excellent stuff! I listened to a whole bunch of stuff on your soundcloud channel.

The processing sounds great and you have a definite "sound." I'm nowhere near being able to pull off your production quality.
