Hello,
I am thinking about purchasing a microkorg or a roland soon, and I was wondering if when recording in mixcraft, will I be able to record what I'm playing as a vsti (so I can go back and edit notes) or will it be strictly an audio track? I'm looking for what is shown in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_L5DUBE3AQ
Thanks!
Hardware to VSTi?

Hey there and welcome!
When you set up a track and add a vsti, whatever instrument it is (piano, synth, drums etc). They will record as midi and you'll have a midi track that you can edit to your hearts content, just like the video you posted. It's a blast recording something and having it play back with different sounds! lol
I have a Korg Microkey 37 and find it perfect for my very basic midi needs.
Hope this helps.
