Having problems with my midi keyboard

Post by cometahalley »

Hey everyone.

I just got a midi keyboard and I'm having a little problem.

I connected it to the computer and Mixcraft recognizes it and so far so good.
The problem is that I added a virtual instrument track and recorded, but when I try to listen to it nothing comes out.

I can see the notes on the track, but when it plays, it's like there was nothing there. And yes, my speakers are on and the track is not muted. Plus, when I record from a mic it's fine.

Any ideas? Thank you

Hi,

You had your virtual instrument set to external device. Changing it to a virtual instrument like bongos or whatever should fix it.

That was it, so simple. Thank you.

I read somewhere that I should click on external devices and when I did that my keyboard was listed, so if anyone has the same problem, that's what was causing it...

Thank you again Greg.
