EZQ Equalizer - why doesn't ToneBoosters give it away anymore?

Soooo, why doesn't ToneBoosters have EZQ Equalizer listed on their website anymore? Is it so that people will buy their TB Equalizer instead? Does the EZQ Equalizer somehow give an inferior sound that I've never been aware of?

I have tried this device and it does not make sense for me.
Terms like "tinny" probably do not make much sense in a mixing context.
I never thought "this sound sounds tinny" or similar.

However, I can use a parametric EQ and scan for frequency ranges that sound obnoxious. This is more what I am used to and this probably is applicable to others too.

I guess this was more of a toy.

I find it can be useful for quickly and easily getting the desired tone, especially for snare drums.

You could always ask them about it via the 'Contact' page of the Toneboosters website, although I've found where you can still download it. I suspect it's where I long ago obtained my copy.

http://www.dontcrack.com/freeware/downl ... e/TB-EZQ/#

Click on the download link for the latest version, and a Toneboosters pop-up window will appear. Click the box next to "I have read the end-user agreement and agree to all terms of this agreement" and the final selection of download links will open up.
