This subject probably drowned in the other thread...
K-Meter (the free version) has been updated to Vers. 2.6.1. This release works on 64 bits too, but most importantly, has a loudness measurement according to ITU BS.1770-1 loudness weighted levels (you can still use RMS metering).
This has been developed In cooperation with Bob Katz who recently disapproves of metering with RMS meters, since people think they have to max their levels this way. Read the whole story there. Also, the popular (free) DR-meter seems superseded.
ITU BS.1770-1 appears to take care of the way we humans perceive loudness. This way it is ideally suited to gain matching plugins such as EQ´s
