I admit I am eager to see what they bring to the table here.

I was kind of hoping for an introductory/Black Friday sale/timed release, but that doesnt appear likely at this point.
I'll likely wait for the "new" to wear off a bit and watch for a discount to consider it anyway. We'll see!

Still not out. Sweetwater says:EZbass is tenatively scheduled for release in early 2020.

I heard they are waiting for the upcoming NAMM 2020 show to showcase it.

Just found out it is not coming out until May 2020:

"EZbass is Toontrack's highly anticipated bass software instrument and the next core title in the company's popular EZ Line of products.

In addition to carefully sampled bass tones, EZbass will include MIDI as well as a host of features to aid the user in quickly and effortlessly adding bass to their songs.

In my opinion the drum machine was the beginning of the end for working musicians... Now we have a bunch of hacks with machines/software spewing crap.

Waves have 2 semi different ones, Bass Fingers and Bass Slapper, Fingers being newer. If they go to $29 on sale I might pull the trigger.
