Ample Guitar and Ample Bass free versions issue.
Does anyone else have issues with pops and clicks in the sound when using Ample Guitar Free and Ample Bass Free with MixCraft? They’re the only VST’s I have that do this. My latency settings aren’t super low either. I can do some pretty heavy VST work in other “much larger and more CPU intensive” programs without this happening.

Hi,
Which version and build of Mixcraft are you using? What's your playback device? Are you using one with an ASIO driver in ASIO mode?

Latest build of MixCraft, (Windows 10) Wave RT driver. Latency setting isn’t in exclusive mode.

Hi,
What is your sound device? If you don't already have one, getting an audio interface that provides its own ASIO driver would probably help. If you already have it, you should try ASIO mode with the latest driver downloaded from the manufacturer.
Otherwise, you could try exclusive mode with WaveRT.

Re: Ample Guitar and Ample Bass free versions issue.
I’m just using the computers sound card. I don’t do any direct audio recording, so I never bothered with an audio interface. Do I need one if all I do is VST based work?

I’d get a good external audio interface and use ASIO.

Hi,
It can take some of the load off your CPU. If you never do direct recording, you could bump up your latency setting and also experiment with exclusive mode.
