The Sonobus Vst3: I want to do this in Mixcraft -- host a virtual jam session with Sonobus running in my DAW. In this Reaper demo video, he doesn't specify what sort of track he initially creates to house the VST( instrument, send, etc ? ). Beyond that I want to be able to use a drum backing track ( either loaded into it's own Mixcraft track, or played from inside the VST) AND be able to apply a small delay to it.
(in such sessions, the person who plays the drum track hears the beats first, then the rest of the band reacts to that about 30 milliseconds later so the "drummer" winds up sensing that everyone else is behind the beat)
I got some feedback from an experienced DAW user but he doesn't use mixcraft so his remarks aren't clear to me:
"no, that's not the way you want to do this.
You will want to add the backing track within your DAW, use an Aux Send to send an "un-delayed" signal into SonoBus, then add the delay POST send to your monitoring
then mute the the monitoring in SB for this input audio
from a quick glance, it looks like you are adding delay to ALL the users coming back from SonoBus as well, which is going to just increase the problem."

Hi,
Sounds like a job for an Output track. Here's a tutorial video: https://acoustica.com/mixcraft/videos/m ... put-tracks
