Best way to sweeten trumpet sound?
I am mixing a slow tempo R&B with a trumpet in it, and I have a great recording of a trumpet, but I want to sweeten it and add warmth without making it sound over-rpocessed. Any suggestions for effects or EQ?

I have never recorded a trumpet, but some things come to mind that you can do.
1. Remove (with an eq) frequencies that the trumpet does not produce. For example, I doubt that it is producing any notes in the 20-60 Hz zone, so pulling those down will reduce things like air thumps or other room noise that might be present.
2. You could use a doubler/stereo effect to make it wider and more prominent.
3. Of course a light room verb, maybe a room about the size of a jazz club?
4. Compression/Limiter to smooth it out
