Beautiful virtual instruments

I came across harmony assistant and melody assistant by myride softwares. They have something called gold sound bank which has very beautiful sounding instruments. The problem is these cannot be used by mixcraft or any other daw. I need such instruments which are exotic in nature. Is there any company making such string instruments?

I have the same question exactly - any websites, companies, packages I could look at?

Have come across a few but they're like £400.00 upwards packages.....

I found that native instruments is the only one and sonivox and garritan which is quite cheap and good
