Are we looking at 2016 or 2017 for release a release date?

Is there an upgrade path (free if within 3 month of purchase, etc)?
I´ve got the same problem! I tried Mixcraft and didnt run Reaper or Tracktion for a month but trial is over.

btw. will it be possible to turn off note preview when i edit midi by my mouse? I need it...

Hi,

The release date of Mixcraft 8 will depend on how the testing goes. We'd like to release in 2016.

The upgrade path hasn't been determined yet, but we always work something out along those lines.

There is no option to turn off MIDI note preview when placing notes.

Love Mixcraft! But...

What is killing me is the inability of Mixcraft to send midi time/beatcode. It is a feature that is expected in a professional DAW. Please release me completely from Studio One by adding it. I use Mixcraft a lot, have to switch to Stodio One from time to time because of the lack of this necessary feature.

There wont be the posibility? Why not?
It is anoying when you edit playing loop..

And. I´ve figured out that changes in midi loop are played after the whole loop ends and starts from beginning.
It would be nice to not have in v 8

I am so excited to hear about the release of Mixcraft 8! I have been user since v5, I have a couple of questions as I am currently using v7.7 at the moment, will there be an auto quantize feature in Mixcraft 8 where audio and midi can be quantized as they are recorded? Also will Mixcraft 8 have reduced CPU usage, similar to that of Reaper as well as better handling and management of plugins when inserted into the FX section without the need of having to freeze tracks, as I find that the current version of Mixcraft crashes a lot when playing back with a lot of plugins loaded. Also will Mixcraft 8 have a completely redesigned UI, or at least a sleeker look, oh and a media explorer too for dragging and dropping clips and sound files as opposed to inserting them from the menu bar.

Mixcraft 8.0 is pretty much feature-complete and we don't need any more feature suggestions for it.

We hope to release it later this year, if all goes well.

We're not quite ready to announce all the new features yet, but we will very soon.

I *really* hope the GUI of version 8 will be scalable, so that it becomes readable on a 15" or 17" FullHD screen. Currently the text is so small that it's barely readable.

Totally agree, the GUI is also my biggest issue with Mixcraft. Everything is so small, especially text, like in the browser where one selects instruments to be loaded.

A basic install option would be nice as well, without any instruments, effects, loops, samples etc. Just the DAW as such...

Maybe they could at least incorporate a simple 200 % scaling that doubles all bitmaps and fonts in size. Although a vector-based, fully scalable GUI would of course be better, but probably not with version 8.

Hi,

Mixcraft 8 doesn't have a feature like that, but thank you for the suggestion!

Have you tried going into Windows' advanced display setting and setting the "Advanced sizing of text and other items?"
