Hi Beta Testers,
We're hoping that build 403 will be the release build. Please give it a thorough run-through.

Re: Build 403 may be the one.
For me the interface becomes unresponsive in 403 in Windows 7. I had to go into Task Manager to close the program. Reverted to 402 and works fine. Bug report filed.
EDIT: After reinstalling 403 it seems to be working fine. The first install was somehow corrupted.

Hi,
I was going to say - I don't think we changed anything in the interface department. Thanks for trying it again and reporting back.

Re: Build 403 may be the one.
Uh, whoa whoa whoa, I'm making it do this thing where if I undock a MIDI sound detail window , a whole bunch of controls go unresponsive on the primary UI.
Critical controls like the transport, resizing at the corners and more.
It's a repro, too, so far....someone else HAS to have seen this.

Yup exactly what I'm experiencing. Thought it went away but came back. Add your voice to bug 9934.

Does the problem you're experiencing only happen when you have the piano roll undocked?
The bug Erik filed is new for build 403, I think.

Re: Build 403 may be the one.
Reproducing here in 403 as per the bug report.
Sound or Library tab undocked, main screen controls become unresponsive. Does not occur with the Project or Mixer tab undocked as of yet.
Consistent repro every attempt.

My piano roll is always undocked, so when the issue happens it is undocked, but can't answer to "only".Acoustica Greg wrote:Chibear, chibear wrote:Yup exactly what I'm experiencing. Thought it went away but came back. Add your voice to bug 9934.

And I'm afraid I have another: I can't mix down a MP4 video scored in Mixcraft to MP4 in b403 and b402. Mixcraft stops responding. Happens consistently. Mixdown to WMV works fine though. Bug report filed

There is a similar phenomenon? I shall check out bug 9934.
This is the one I filed for the thing I mentioned:

Re: Build 403 was not the one.
Chibear,
What I am seeing is not a "freeze," because Mixcraft still works just fine, you can edit the notes in the MIDI Sound Details window, play it via the preview play button, etc., even get the main screen working again if you dock the Sound Details window or switch to the Mixer Details tab.
It's a condition where the Sound Details kinda hogs focus, you might call it. The main window won't respond to any clicks on it. You can even click and drag on its title bar and move it around, it just won't respond to any clicks inside its window.

Re: Build 403 was not the one.
Exactly as you said. You did a much better job describing it and matters were confused by the fact that my piano roll is always undocked and on another monitor. 9934 should be closed and use yours.Starship Krupa wrote:Chibear,

Hi,
When you dock the details area, the problem goes away, right?
I marked your bug as a duplicate of Erik's.

That's a yes for me. Saw Eriks bug doc, felt there was no need to add more there.
