Hello Beta Testers,

Please uninstall older builds and then install build 434. See if your bugs are fixed!

Thanks for the new Beta 434 but the evaluation period has ended, for me.
Each time I stop a song, there is a voice asking me to buy, what I surely will when it's released after the test.
I did uninstall and cleaned the registry for the B431 so, is there something else to do?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm not sure why your trial should have ended. Did you change the time or date on your computer?

Just test what you can (basically everything except mixing down).

Ok I will only check around then.
My version has ended on november 23

Could be an impression but it seems like everything sounds much better than MC8, even more Pro. :D
Can't wait to upgrade.

Thanks!

Should we be doing explicit uninstalls rather than letting the installer handle it?

Hi,

Just running the uninstaller should be fine.

Oakhurst, we've had a problem.

On my first system, I just did an uninstall using the Windows 10 Settings uninstaller, then ran the 434 installer with the settings I always use.

When I'm installing betas, I append "Beta" to the end of the install location string so that I can do a fresh install of the release product when the time comes.

So I should wind up with the program and all its files in C:\Program Files\Acoustica Mixcraft 9 Beta and a Start Menu folder called Acoustica Mixcraft 9 Beta with the program shortcuts in it.

This time I got the Start menu folder okay, but no program shortcut in it, only a shortcut to the help file. I did get a program shortcut outside the folder. I'll try it on another system before buggin' it up.

Anyone else see Start Menu fail on Windows 10?

Okay, I got the same thing on my second system, but I also notice that it's the same way for Mixcraft 8.

Why does the installer ask me to choose a Start Menu folder location for the program shortcuts if it's just going to put a shortcut in there to the help file and then place the one to the actual program itself at the top level?

Hi,

There was a bug in Windows 10 when it was first released that prevented more than 512 start menu items. But I think it's probably time to revisit this issue. I would think it should be fixed by now? Why don't you go ahead and file a bug on it.

It would also be nice to have a log files shortcut in there.
