Logged Bug 11640

Post by Ian Craig »

Hi,
I just logged Bug 11640 FX Dialog screen loading crash, build 439 (64 bit Windows 10).
Build 439 seems to be a bit of a disaster according to my testing so far. It has crashed during video editing and FX loading. As regards this particular bug :
Clicking on an FX slot and loading an effect works fine, but going for the FX button to add it to a space in the chain crashes the program. It does not occur with all FX but is occurring. I did it twice and on both occasions it said it had written the Dump file, but neither of the files existed when I went to the directory.
Video demonstration of problem - link https://youtu.be/Qj4QDQhrLSo
EDIT: The progress cursor has also been disappearing, but like the video problem it caught me by surprise and I haven't logged Bugs for either. However, this build does seem to have a much greater tendency to either crash or stutter loading things that didn't seem to be the case as much in earlier builds i.e. 438 (or even 436)

Hi,

Please get it to happen again, then quit Mixcraft and attach the resulting mixcraft-log.txt file to your bug report.

Done. Sorry I forgot to do that. I'll get the hang of this thing eventually :)

Hi,

Superficially, this sounds kind of like the Auto-Tune Artist bug we fixed. We'll look into it!

Hi,

This will be fixed in the next build. It happens with any plugins that have a sidechain option, like the effect version of Voltage Modular, for example.
