Hi folks

If you could refer to this post
http://forums.acoustica.com/bbs/viewtop ... ight=punch

Does Mixcraft 6 now support the punch in as described in that thread?

Thanks

Sorry everyone for posting the same thing twice about "punch in". I posted it once and I didn't see it there 30 minutes later so I posted again... Then
POOF... the first one was there

Once again... sorry for the duplication

Hi Pierre,

Yes, along with loop recording and multiple lanes within each track. It's a very powerful feature.

Sorry Greg. So projects done in Ver. 5 can't be opened in 6!?

That doesn't sound right. Can you expand on that?

Worth every penny. Can't wait.

Hi,

Mixcraft 5 registration codes won't work in Mixcraft 6.

You can open Mixcraft 2, 3, 4 and 5 projects in Mixcraft 6. Testers, be sure to test this!

Greg...
I was able to open Mixcraft 4 and 5 projects in Mixcraft 6. Those projects had EWQL Symphoni Orchestra intruments and Garritan Personal Orchestra instruments in them... They open and played fine... The only Mixcraft 3 projects I have were in the Mixcraft 4 sample projects folder.. Those would not load because they needed loops that I am assuming were in Mixcraft 3 and I don't have 3

Now..

When will I be notified that I am a beta tester or not.. I filled out the application. I hope the trial period for Mixcraft 6 doesn't expire before

Thanks
Pierre

Greg,
I'm considering getting Mixcraft studio pro for the CS80 synth (big Vangelis fan) so I was wondering if a studio pro version will be offered with mixcraft 6?

If so what will the upgrade cost be (if you know)?

Additionally are we ever going to see side-chain compression handled in mixcraft the same way that Ableton does? (I know it's a little gimmicky but the kids love that s***).

BTW I just want it to be known that I'm choosing Mixcraft over FL, Ableton and Reaper as my DAW because it has score editing so any future development in that area will be appreciated.

Hi,

There will be a Mixcraft Pro Studio 6, but Mixcraft 6 itself will be released first. The upgrade from Mixcraft 5 to Mixcraft 6 will be around $20. The price for the Pro Studio upgrade hasn't been set yet.

Mixcraft 6 doesn't have a side-chain compression feature.

Mixcraft 6

Will a "mono mix" result be available in MC6, so I do not have to purchase a mono speaker for mixdowns?

Hi,

That's already there in Mixcraft 5, just click the "Edit Details" option that appears on the screen where you name your mixed down audio file and choose a mono in the quality settings.
