Upgrading LAME

Hi,

I'm using 4.27 and under mp3 settings it shows LAME version 3.96. Is it possible to upgrade to the newest version of LAME? I tried unzipping the newest LAME enc.dll into the Acoustica folder but it still shows 3.96.

Hi,

I haven't tested it, but I'd have thought it would have worked. Which folder did you put the .dll file in, exactly?

Hi,

I put the dll into the "Acoustic MP3 cd burner" folder, the one that contains the cdburner.exe file. There was an identically named dll in there which I simply replaced with the one from the newer Lame zip file. (lame_enc.dll).

Oh I have to apologize. Apparently I have an old install of Acoustica on a partition that was leftover from when I did a reformat and have since installed Acoustica to a different partition so I was putting the dll in folder of the wrong one. It works fine but I do have another question.

Is there a way in Acoustica to get LAME to use the V0 setting?

Hi,

Not that I know of. You just get the settings you see in the MP3 preferences.
