PBS "Soundbreaking" series.

If you have a local public broadcasting affiliate I recently caught one episode of a series called "soundbreaking". This episode dealt with the advent of magnetic tape and multi-tracking, and how it's influenced music today. Starting with Les Paul and Mary Ford, onward to the Beatles "revolver" album, the Beach Boys' "pet sounds". This is great stuff, with insights into the studio work that went into these albums. I hope you have a chance to see some of them. I think there are eight episodes.
Enjoy, Rick. 8)

One of my home studio inspirations:

Yes, there is fascinating stuff here.

Note: You can also order the series on DVD or blu-ray and that there is also an accompanying hardcover book if you are interested.
