Passing of a friend
Some of you will remember fellow forum member Harry Robinson http://forums.acoustica.com/bbs/memberl ... le&u=13714. A few of us collaborated with him on a couple projects.
I had shared a recording with him at Christmas time and was surprised not to have heard a response, as he was always quick with a thumbs-up, even if what I was doing wasn't particularly very good!
I received word from his wife last week that he passed away suddenly this last August.
When I heard from him last in June he had just obtained his commercial drone pilot certification. He sent me this link to some test footage which I thought was very beautiful. He was going to head out into the prairie grass soon after, and I asked him to send me some video to write something to, but it never happened.

He was very active in his community, I know he provided sound for his local theater group.
I never made it to Oklahoma to meet him although I had a standing invite, but I feel like I knew him anyway through our music. I am grateful that his wife Allie Rose was able to track me down, and I told her I would pass the sad news along here. He is missed.

Im sorry to hear this as well. He was a good guy.

I didn’t get the opportunity to know or communicate with Harry, but it sounds like he was a very nice gentleman, so this is sad to hear... my condolences.

Hi,
Oh, no! He was one of the true regulars around here. That's sad news.
Thank you for letting us know!

RIP.
I wasn't around when he's active in this forum, but I ran into his tracks on Soundcloud when I was looking for music made using Mixcraft.
Many beautiful, well-produced pieces here: https://soundcloud.com/quiet-painter/tracks
