Lightscribe Label Designs Vanish

My Acoustica label base included designs for Lightscribe labels. They have vanished, and when I click on help it says I don't have a Lightscribe drive. I have had one for 3 years and it still reads and writes, although I've never used Lightscribe discs I liked the designs that Acoustica supplied and I like to use them on my regular discs.

I guess my question is what happened? Has Lightscribe been discontinued and why would the label designs vanish.

Thanks

Joe

Hi,

HP has stopped making and supporting LightScribe drives, but you should still be able to use them. Make sure you've got the last Lightscribe System Software update. You can download that here.

You can download the LightScribe label designs from this page: Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker Art.

Here's what I did per your instructions. Clicked on your link to update software and it appeared to work ok. Then clicked on the link to download the lightscribe art packages one at a time. They appeared to download and install ok. I then opened up Acoustica and looked for them and they were not there. I did a search on my system and it showed that the 4 art packages are in the background file, yet they don't show up.

Acoustica is working fine except for the missing lightscribe designs. Is it possible that Acoustica somehow got screwed up. If so would I have to uninstall and reinstall. If I have to reinstall would I lose all my saved label creations? If I had to reinstall I can live without the lightscribe art work. I'm just curious as to why the art disappeared yet when I did a search it says it's there.
