Blu-Ray Templates

Post by mccoady »

Greg I have some of these Prolabel Blu-ray inserts and you don't seem to have a template for them: http://www.professionallabel.com/Blu-ra ... ion43383HR

On the Prolabel package it says 8 1/2" x 14" sheets and Inserts 7 1/4" x 10 3/4".

In Acoustica under Blu-ray you only have four choices:

Neato US Blu-ray Case Insert (A4)
Plain Paper Blu-ray Case (A4)
Plain Paper Blu-ray Case (legal)
Plain Paper Blu-ray Case (US)

I requested a template back in 2011 for these but guess nothing happened. I know nothing about templates but can you manually set up a template in Acoustica for these Prolabel inserts? Or get the template they have on their website into Acoustica? Mike

Hi,

If any of the existing templates are close, you can click on the File menu, select "Edit Paper/Printer Templates" and tweak an existing template.

I'll see if we can get an actual template for that paper made.

Thanks Greg that would be great if you could get a template made up. If/when this happens would this come as a Acoustica update or some separate update? Just wanted to be sure I knew about it if this template gets created.

Hi,

It would be added to the label update on this page: Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker supported paper and printers.

Greg until you are able to get an actual Pro Label template made up I would like to attempt to tweak an existing template. If I choose "Plain Paper Blu-ray Case (legal)" it leaves about a 1/16" of a white band not printed on the left side, right side & top but the bottom is ok.

File > Edit Paper/Printer Templates the width is 268.50 mm, height is 149.25 mm, and the spine width is 10.0 mm.

How do I tweak it for that 1/16"... could you recommend some settings to try?

Hi,

That would be around 1.59 mm. Is that what you're asking?

Well yeah I guess. The right side, left side and top of my printed label leaves about 1/16" not printed on. To try to get it to print that extra 1/16" would I add 1.59 mm to the template width which is 268.50 mm and also 1.59 mm to the template height which 149.25 mm?
