Crash after running Update to Build 458
Cannot open MC9 after trying to update to 458. I get this box popping up. Reinstall mC9?

Hmm, the 458 build update was successful for me.
Maybe you just forgot to quit Mixcraft before you ran the update patch?
Try this: Go to Acoustica.com and log into your account to find the update download link and update from there.

Hi, same error on my system when I upgraded. Will update when I find a fix. MX was closed when I installed.

Re: Crash after running Update to Build 458
I am reinstalling, no other option...
Re: Crash after running Update to Build 458
OK, I fixed mine.
1) Restored old MX9.exe b452 from backup, deleted new corrupt b458 executable.
2) Ran MX b452, had it again check for update.
3) I let the installer run and this time I waited for it to tell me to close MX and retry.
4) Closed MX, installed, now on b458
I did note that the second download of the patch took a bit longer, as if the first time it was not completed properly.
Hope that helps

Hi,
Some questions for people who had this problem:
1. Were you using 32-bit Mixcraft or 64-bit Mixcraft?
2. Did you start with build 452, or an older build?
3. What version of Windows do you have?

Re: Crash after running Update to Build 458
Hi Greg, in retrospect I still feel this was a download glitch, as the installer took at least twice as long on my second (and successful) attempt. Also I noted a lot of files unpacking the second time, which didn't happen on the first attempt.Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 8:16 am Hi,

At any rate, on my system it is 64 bit, b452 upgrading to 458, windows 10 professional.
