Glitches and slowdown

Post by Gustus1966 »

So I have noticed that if I am running too many plugins Mixcraft 9 starts to glitch and slow down. Any suggestions on how to improve the performance so that this doesnt happen?

The power of your PC, specifically processor and ram, has a lot to do with it. Freezing tracks is usually the best way to handle this.

I did freeze some tracks to lighten the load. What I found was I was running EZ Drummer and a couple of Waves plug ins at the same time and it really tied up the processor. Once I got the drum track down the way I wanted it then I didnt have any more issues

Yeah, if you're running EZDrummer with plugins, real time, that takes a lot. When I had an older i7 and 12gb ram it would choke up pretty quick.
