Individual Tracks

Post by Pete Stobbs »

Hi,

Lets say I have 7 tracks and I only want to "Export" only two. I have tried soloing the tracks that I want then mixing down to wav but it processes the whole seven tracks. I have tried muting the tracks I don't want but the same happens. What do I do?

Cheers

Try muting the tracks that you don't want to export.

Hi Pete

I'm open to correction, but I don't think it can be done :?:

A work-around would be to mix down, but then tick the "mix each track to a separate file" box. You'll then have all 7 and can just delete the ones you don't want.

Anyone else with the right answer?

Solo the two tracks and also choose to mix each track to a separate file

Eric,

Its a no go. It goes through all the tracks whether I solo the ones I want or mute the ones I don't want.

Pete

Ps It does work if I solo and mix down to a single wav file but it would be nice if it worked the way you suggested.

I think it works as designed - it's not a bug. But to mix down as separate files only a few out of a group of tracks, you do have to solo each track and mix down individually.

Like you wrote, it would make sense if it mixed down like Eric thought it would.

Feature request! :D

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion! In this case, you're only mixing down two tracks, so it's not too hard to solo them individually. I'll pass along the suggestion.
