Hi,

Make sure you don't have the recording level set too high. What version of Mixcraft do you have?

Can you post us a sample somewhere to listen to? (Hard to give suggestions without it.)

Hi,

I couldn't hear what you were talking about at first, but then I cranked up the volume and then I heard it. Have you tried recording with a different program? Does the noise show up there? Make sure you've got the latest drivers for the USB mic.

If you've got a different USB port you can try, see if that helps.

Greg

P.S. Your link was busted so I fixed it.

Same here, but it wasn't the same track that I get now.

It appears hardware related. You may want to just grab another mic that will go in through the "mic" input of the sound card just to try something different. The quality might not be there if it is a cheap mic, but if the noise goes away, you have identified the problem and can make some decision from there. (The mic you are using appears to be an excellent mic for what you are doing, but there is something else going on.)
