Drum tracks from drumkit from hell playing intermittently

Hi folks, hope someone can help with this or has come across it. When I load in or transfer some pre designed or profile drum tracks from ez drumkit from hell the beat starts and stops continuously. It only does it on some profile tracks the rest when you load them into mixcraft play no problem. This is a bit of a pain as it is normally the ones I need that it occurs on, has anyone else had this problem or know if there is a way around it, is it a mixcrat issue or ez drummer from hell issue? Any help would be appreciated at this stage, thanks.

Could the number of tracks/detail be slowing your computer down and causing a bit of latency? Maybe turn off any programs running in the background etc.

I assume that you mean the ones that ship with DKFH - if so do you have an example of one that isnt working properly, then perhaps some of us can try it on our systems.

I do agree with Garys suggestion of checking what else is running. Much as I think that EZ Drummer is great it can be a bit of a resource hog.

Cheers

John

Don't think it has anything to do with tracks or latency as normally I drop the drum beats in and build the song around them and most beats are fine but lets say on some of the grooves for 2/4 timing you drop the beats in and extend it, the actual track itself shows that there is a a gap between each beat or a continuous break in it after extending it to any length yet when you are just playing it without dropping it into mixcraft as a track there is no break in the beat. This seems very strange. And it's not like it has anything to do with the speed of the drums as most of the double-bass and triplets and blast-beats work no problem once dropped into mixcraft. I will have a look tomorrow and see what tracks are doing it.

I am curious if this still happens if you Mix the DKFH track down to an Audio file?

Hi,

Where did you get these tracks? Maybe the MIDI files have some odd MIDI commands embedded in them.

To be honest Greg, I initially got a copy of EZ Drummer from a torrent but decided to purchase Superior Drummer 2.2 which has EZ Drummer pro. Both of these do the same thing when it comes to dropping certain DKFH tracks into my version of Mixcraft 5.

Hi folks, I have done a screenshot of what the track looks like when dropped into mixcraft, maybe this will help. It is a little annoying to be honest and it only happens on grooves 1/4 in 2x timing mostly

Hi!

Although I don't have DKFH, I have just about everything else available from EZDrummer.

I did a sample in regular, half and double time and cannot duplicate what you seem to have there.

That clip has been dragged out and it looks like the loop has not loaded fully - hence the gap between the MIDI activity, and the end of the loop (the notch on the bottom of the track) - which then just duplicates as it's dragged out.

Try dragging just one instance of the loop into a VI track - does it play back in full?

Hi,

Maybe you just need to set the start and end points of your loop?

Select the loop and look at the sound tab, then drag the "Loop Start" and "Loop End" markers where you want them.

Thanks folks, I'll give that a go but still think that it's unusual that it only does in certain grooves in 1/4 and 1/2 time when using 2x?????

Greg thanks that worked a treat. It now plays properly the only thing is that when I drop the track in, it is now little slower than what is originally being played in ez drummer. I have tried to increase the tempo at the side in the edit field in mixcraft but this doesn't work, any ideas why it mightn't be increasing the tempo?

Try this:

Click the track header (dark section) Then the sound tab, then "Time Stretch By" and select a percentage increase/decrease.
