Mixcraft 3 - Can't record Mono?

Post by EL34 »

Mixcraft 2 had the record mono checkbox.
I used this for mic recording and direct box recording.
Mono recording would be spread across left and right channels using this option.

There is no option in Mixcraft 3 for this that I can find.
My Mono recordings all appear in the right channel.
This isn't any good, am I missing something?

Hi,

Click on the down arrow next to the Arm button and select the channel that the mono signal is coming in on. If the audio is coming in on the right channel, select that.

If you want it to always be that way when you want to record this way, you can create a Mixcraft 3 template (File menu > Save As..., then choose MX3Template as the File Type).

I found the same. After recording and in play back or mixing mode you can pan 50% to the opposite side the sound was originally recorded and that will put the sound back in the middle or mono. I thought simply checking stereo would do this but it won't.
