Beta 3, Bug? Input device setting

Post by rille »

Hi, first of all Mixcraft 3 is a great, great improvement! thanks.

MC3 defaults to to the default input device for sound settings, even though I have specified another device in Preferences/Sound Device/Default input recording. In my case (Windows XP, Dell XPSM1210 running MC beta 3.0 v13) recordings only goes through the built in webcam, not the mic input jack (Sigmatel audio). MC3 displays "QuickCam for Dell..." on the Track tab. Yes, I have changed the properties and restarted MC3. My changed setting is shown in the Prefences after restart, but recording through the webcam.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Click on the little down arrow that appears to the right of the Arm button, then select the other device. Actually, you have to select the device and then choose Stereo, Right or Left.

You're welcome!

That's the feature that allows someone with more than one sound device to record two things at once.
