I can add that Mixcraft 6 does support custom profiles. You can go to Mix>Control Surfaces and set up buttons, knobs and sliders and save the profile. I have an M-Audio Oxygen49 and it works like a charm.
And actually, we are expecting Mixcraft 7 to expand control surface functions a bit.
