I would appreciate some information on the following:
at the moment I am using mixcraft pro studio 6, I have not done anything major jet
but I have a small project with a few tracks going.
If I upgrade to Mixcraft Pro studio 7 ,will I lose my project? Will I have to tell mixcraft where
to find EZDRUMMER again, or to tell the software what midi controller I am using?
Sorry for these basic questions but I am still trying to figure out how all of this stuff works.
Thank you very much.

Re: upgrading to mixcraft 7
Hi,
You can have both Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 and Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 installed at the same time. Mixcraft 7 can open Mixcraft 6 projects, but not the other way around.
Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 will pick up most settings from Mixcraft Pro Studio 6, but you might have to go in and adjust a few things. That's why it's good to keep Pro Studio 6 installed until you get Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 working the way you want; you can go in and compare preference settings.
If you like, you can download Mixcraft 7 right now and try it out. Then, when you get Pro Studio 7, you can just install right over it.

Re: upgrading to mixcraft 7
Does this mean that if I buy the upgrade to pro studio 7 it will get installed as a complete separate
program? (it does not replace pro studio 6?)
thank you for your answers

Hi,
Yes, that's correct. You can have both programs installed at the same time.

Re: upgrading to mixcraft 7
Installing new versions doesn't overwrite old versions, and your project content is stored outside of Mixcraft.
I have previously had to rescan for VST's when upgrading versions, and thats about it installation wise.
The only remaining thing is once you get there, converting old projects to the new program, and thats not a big deal either.
Dont overthink it.
