Hi I'm a new user, I am having trouble removing multiple breath takes in my recordings.
a Step by Step Process on which tools to use would be nice.

Hi Tony

I found the easiest way is to use the GGate plugin, works well for me. A threshold around -30db and attack 1.1ms takes most of my breath noise out

proper studio vocal/breathing techniques

are you using a condenser mic or a dynamic?

pop filter/wind screen on the mic?

move the mic up,down,or to the side a bit instead of directly in front of your mouth & turn your head slightly for breaths.

you can use a parametric eq & "dip" around 4 to 6kHz to remove some of the extra noise.

use track volume automation on anything that is still unwanted or too obvious.
