Proteus VX Crash in Mixcraft
Why does Proteus VX keep crashing in mixcraft every time I try to mix down a song to mp3? Mixcraft keeps saying this plugin has crashed and is muted...on all tracks! It does work if I change the sample rate of the mix down to wav 48,000 Hz 24 bits stereo but that still doesn't address the issue as to why it doesn't work for mp3 because I want the higher quality sample rate of mp3.

Re: Proteus VX Crash in Mixcraft
Hi there,
Unfortunately this is a well-documented bug in Proteus VX. We spoke with the company about this many years ago but as far as I know they have never repaired it.
Simply put, their plug-in crashes if you change the sample rate on mix-down.
To fix this, change your playback sample rate to whatever you want the mixdown rate to be, then load your project and mix it down.

I don't think it as a problem with free Proteus VX. For me at the time of mixdown in Mixcraft 6 or 7 just freezes. But it works well with Reaper.
