It'll take a little time... I like the drop-down spanner where you can unsubscribe from a topic, and save a draft when replying...

Re: I don't like it
Hi,
We got a long overdue update to our user forum software yesterday, as you've noticed. Looks like there are lots of nifty tweaks. The main ones are improved response time and notifications. It's supposed to work better on mobile devices.
If we all hate the new forum style enough, it's possible to change that. Of course, finding one what we're all comfortable with would likely be problematic. Dark background or light background!?

Re: I don't like it
Change is hard, especially for an old goat.
So far I am experiencing faster access and load times, we'll see if thats a thing........ The old version was getting REALLY balky at times for me.
But I do often wonder, why does a company like PHB go to all the trouble to "update" their software, only to primarily change the appearance? My first impression was the sense that someone had shuffled the deck of cards and dealt me the same hand in a different order, if you know what I mean?
The features Trevor mentions may be more obvious, but they were there. But Greg, I cant see the grid lines very well in this format.

Hi,
Which grid lines? Do you mean on the main page? Or between posts when you view a thread?
Try clearing your browser cache. We had one issue where the gray backgrounds for each post weren't showing up.

I kid.
I did hit reply at some point that I think the software was being changed over and got some REALLY fun results for a few moments! You know, when the browser gets confused and displays lines of code.........

Another feature I like (as an OFC member) is the presentation of the post on the left and poster info on the right. I typically view the forum zoomed for better clarity and when this was reversed, I had to scroll right to read the message. This works great now
