Browsing Hard Drives?

Post by geo524 »

Hello good People.

I have 4 HDD's in my audio PC. One of my drives are dedicated to samples, loops, midi grooves, etc... Is there a way to browse different drives from within MC7 itself? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Mixcraft doesn't include a browser, but you can browse using Windows file explorer and then drag and drop sounds directly into Mixcraft from Windows.

What Mixcraft does have is a library, which is an index of cataloged audio files. You can "import" audio files from different drives so that they are listed in the library.

Thanks Greg. That's good to know. It would also be great if we were able to import (or browse to) midi files (particularly drum grooves) and play/audition them through Acoustica Studio Drums, EZdrummer or whatever. I have a huge collection of midi drum grooves and would love to be able to use them in MixCraft.

Hi,

Yes, we've talked about having MIDI support in the Library, but it's one of those features that got elbowed out of the way by other features.

Thanks for your feedback!
