Re: Audio interface
I would recommend to Focusrite users that they check out the beta drivers. The current drivers for the 2i2 are pretty poor in my opinion, a shame because the hardware is good. Interesting the discussion about class a/B preamp design, but for an effective audio interface the software is as important as the hardware. The beta drivers are a lot more stable.

I've been using the 3.1.10 beta drivers for a while and have had no issues at all. Much better than the 2.5 official ones.

Re: Audio interface
From what I gather I think my (Old) PC has USB 2.0 ports, I will figure out which driver to use.

Re: Audio interface
Hi,
I think blaze591's suggestion is a good one. From our testing, we know that the 64-bit Focusrite drivers can crash, and hopefully this issue is addressed in the beta drivers.

Re: Audio interface
My earlier post was intended to express that I also found the Focusrite description of the driver applications confusing. Sorry if I added to the confusion with my wording.
Re: Audio interface
Its okay Mark, I was the one confused. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled the driver you guys posted in that link, later to realize today that I have the 2i2 not the scarlett solo. Woops
