Re, Marks last post ..... (can't find a thumbs up smilie).
Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Yeah thx that gets me by, but shouldn't be necessary, and has its limitations like there's no rewind etc.
Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Here's one I suspect maybe I'm missing the setting but did not see in Preferences: stop making me create a new project every time I open MC. I should be able to default to open my last project I had opened, or to not opening anything.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Huh.
When I open Mixcraft from the start menu, I get the option to open a blank project, either choosing some assorted project parameters or simply opening a blank project and setting it up how I wish once opened.
Or I can choose to open a template, either my most recently used example or I can browse my folder of saved templates I have created over the years. (I actually find I don't need but a couple three options in practice.)
Or I can choose to open a previous project, from a list that has the most recently used project at the top.
Or I can directly open any project I want to work on by choosing the most recent project file version from its project folder.
I haven't felt the need for anything more than that in years.
Or for that matter... ever.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
How interesting.
When I open MIxcraft, it just creates a new project.
Again: I should have the option to have it auto open the last project I was working on. I will want to work on an existing project (and probably the last one I worked on) far more often than create a new one, and I suspect that is common among most people, even though it clearly isn't for you.

THX! The track name helps but I'd like to also see the track # with it.... along with a set of MSR buttons.Mark Bliss wrote:Sound tab?sjoens wrote:SOUND EDITOR TRACK #
Some kind of Track # in the SOUND EDITOR (Audio, PRV, Step, & Score windows) for when I forget which track is in there.
Maybe above the PLAY button or left of the cursor coordinate display.
You could put it here:
Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio, Legion laptop, Windows 11 64 bit, Mackie Onyx12 mixer/interface.

Mixyguy2-
Perhaps you have unchecked this box. I don't recall how you would undo that as I keep the window active as an easy way to open previous projects, or to start a new project. So I would never have had a reason to change that.
I have no idea how you inferred that I don't often open previous projects. Maybe you are reading replies I didn't write.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Odd. I don't get that. I just get the "register now" window, and when I click that away, I'm sitting in a new project.

It may be because it isn't registered

1. Go to File>Preferences>Project (or click the gear icon)
2. Click the "Set New Project Defaults..." button.
3. Check the box "Show For New Projects" and click OK.
This should make the window as shown above open when MC8 is launched.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
OK, I have to do it manually for every track. That could get tedious on large projects. At least it can be done. I'm spoiled from Sonar doing it automatically in the Piano Roll window I guess.Mark Bliss wrote:sjoens-You can put whatever you want there to name the track, so add a number if you wish.THX! M=mute
S=solo
R=record (not so important)
I sometimes live in the Piano Roll so it may be the only window I have open at times. The more I can see and control from there the better.

No argument theres room for improvement there, just offering a solution that works in the meantime!I sometimes live in the Piano Roll so it may be the only window I have open at times. The more I can see and control from there the better.
