Also an add measure button for the beginning and end of a clip in the piano roll.

Don’t forget to have the clip shove back if it hits the front of the first measure!

Also unbind the drag box from the grid in the piano roll.

- sort plugins by vendors f.e.
- polished, modern 2 D GUI
- add viual graphic eq to mixer channel ad done in Reason
- add compressor to mixer channel
- possibility to quickly duplicate a pattern by key command, as looping is not the best option
- move mixer sliders by mousewheel

Perhaps there is already a simple solution that I have overlooked:
But often when working in the piano roll I have desired a simple quick method of muting notes or set of notes temporarily to aid in the editing/composition process.

Simple suggested solution= Rt. Click on a note or group of highlighted notes and have a drop down menu option to mute/unmute.

How about highlight the note, group of notes, and adjust velocity for the selection to 0! :D

Mixcraft 8 already has built in side chaining.

That works but...
The problem with solutions like that IMO is that when you toggle it back..... What was the original setting at?
A mute/unmute function would be simple in its elegance instead.

I would prefer updates be to make Mixcraft even better at producing, editing & recording audio, not expend resources toward video.
If you want video editing get an NLE - Mixcraft is a DAW.

Morning,

I disagree. Recorded music is pretty much worthless, which is why I’m pivoting to live performance. Mixcraft is already geared for this, and visual presentation as well which is a key to performing live. Heck, I wouldn’t complain if provision to control DMX lighting was included at some point.

It stinks but it’s the only way I can see continuing to justify throwing money at my computer.

Mixcraft aren't about to abandon support for video. It is an important (if limited and slightly buggy) function that improved features would continue to integrate with audio in a way that I, for one, need. I use video editors and find their audio functions quite often unreliable or limited. I find it is important to use both (along with RX6 as an audio editor) to get reliable results for posting on Youtube and in terms of those doing live stuff integration of functions would be vital and should potentially include the functions to control lighting rigs if possible too.

I agree... I also hope Acoustica focuses more on the Mixcraft DAW features than video.

I hate that I have to mess with the 'automation lane' selection after I've changed instruments. Grrrrrrrrrr, stop that.

Just a thought: I just did a podcast search for Mixcraft and didn’t find any... an Acoustica podcast might be cool, good for tips, sales, marketing, etc. just an idea.
