I've installed Win 10 on 2 machines. Happy to report that both Sonar and MixCraft are running beautifully. Install went without a hitch. I updated my drivers without any trouble at all. My Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 is using the latest beta driver's and my FA66 is using Windows 8.1 drivers. Win 10 is the bees-knees for me so far.

Anyone else?

No prob. As long as the drivers for your hardware and software are supported the upgrade should be a positive experience. Win 10 itself feels very stable here and it's snappier than Win 7. Windows 10 looks to be very promising for audio production. Especially that WASAPI drivers which are Microsoft drivers are very close to giving the same performance as ASIO. The future is looking very bright. Check out Windows 10 enhancements for audio production. http://blog.cakewalk.com/windows-10-music-production/

I've been reading other positive reviews elsewhere...actually I'm shocked. I've even read the exact same words Geo...that it's Snappier...

I think, I'll take a dip in...but I first need to check with Native Instruments to see about their drives..

I have a Line6 UX2 and have an issue with it and Win10.

When I plug it in, everything sets up like it used to, MC7 and all of my standalone stuff works fine. BUT, all of the audio that comes from the computer (music, mp3, youtube etc) comes through the computer speakers. It's their driver issue so not a Win10 issue and there is a work around. Right click speaker icon, select playback devices, double click on Line6 speakers, go to advanced and switch the output to 16bit 48k. Kind of a PITA but I'm sure they'll iron it out. I'm not the only one and they're aware of the issue. At least there's no issue with MC7 or any other recording software.

I ran into the same thing with the Line6 UX2.

Got a response from their support and it would seem a bunch of folks are having the same issue. I'm sure it's not a difficult fix...... I hope so anyway......

Greg, not sure if you helped me awhile back but have you ever experienced MC7 meters going nuts when sample rate, buffer size and bit depth are set to 128/24/48000 with Line6 UX2?

Just finished the upgrade to Win 10 Pro, 64 bit from Win 7 Pro, 64 bit. Had a minor glitch with a video driver, the installed card is an NVIDIA, and even though I had their latest driver (even designed for Win 10) it took a little backing out and restoring the driver to clean it up. Mixcraft works fine, the M-Audio C 600 audio interface is recognized fine and works off the latest Win 8 driver in ASIO. M-Audio Key Rig 49 keyboard works fine. As time goes on I'll plug in some of my older equipment that I don't use much anymore and see how it holds up. :D

I'm kinda of miffed at Native Instruments. I have the Komplete Audio 6 interface.

Regarding Win10, they have a statement on their site that suggest users of ALL their products to hold off until they've done more extensive testing. They give no dates of when this testing will take place, or any other useful info.
All the reviews I've read about Win 10 makes me want to download it and use it...
But is all fairness, I think many manufactures are still working on things. I read something that Roland has their products ready..or most of them.

Installed it, but back on win 7 - it doesn't like my older Roland Edirol PC300 keyboard/controller :(

Was a lot faster to load programs and connect to internet though...

Anyone know of a 32 key (or similar) that's compatible with 10?

Definitely. Check with the manufacturer to ensure that your drivers for your hardware are Win 10 ready. For me Focusrite released a beta driver that works with Win 10 and for my Roland interface on my backup audio PC Windows 8.1 drivers work just fine. It's been smooth sailing on both my computers. Good luck! :)
