Re: Adam Audio Soundtrack Competition
I know good and well the "3-4 hours" is optimistic here.......
Unusual twist when a 30 second time limit makes it hard........ And i know it is.
And that is a good effort. Kept waiting for the reverb soaked surf guitar lick though.....
Nice clip.

Re: Adam Audio Soundtrack Competition
Thanks, guys!
@Mark: A good deal of the time was taken up getting a rhythm bed going and then at the end putting it through the various limiters, squashpressors and expanders to give it that 'modern' sound and still get a hint of a dynamic range. Actually this is Plan B. Plan A did have guitar with a New Age-y bed , but I decided to stick with what I know.
@Pierre:I did think of that, but 30 seconds doesn't leave much time for story-telling. Now it's your turn 6 days left. You know you need some new monitors .........and she just doesn't understand

Nice liquid movement! Work, you say? I'm happy you didn't enter for the lady in the forest.chibear wrote:OK 3-4 hrs of work
(I'd wager that the new owners of Adam Audio will be nice for the holidays and give all contestants a little discount. If anyone does it right it's the Germans.)

We the undersigned being of sound mind hereby do declare:
'We henceforth pledge ourselves unto the power of the Upper Air'
Doesn't that sound simply super
Zeppelin visions of the future
Of course we all know very well it wouldn't work but what the hell

Yeah...there's some great stuff...
The primary reason I joined this competition is because it was free.

Haven't had much of a chance to chase down other entries, but everyone here has posted some great little clips.
Developing anything in just a 30 second slot is HARD.

I had to try, at least, to kick things up a notch and made some changes to my original. It's like poker... anxious to see who antes up next. How about it Bliss?

Re: Adam Audio Soundtrack Competition
I accepted when I first heard of it that I would have no time to work on even a short quick clip. Other than a few minutes to quickly scan this forum, I am working constantly right now. And not getting enough sleep at that.
If I do get a little break I have enough of a backlog of stuff that I am far behind on.
No new stuff right now. Maybe January. 2025.
I didnt get much inspiration from the concept, except maybe a loose general idea about the moon shot. Could have been fun if I had a few extra hours.
