Hey all,
I'm currently working on recreating the Mannheim Steamroller holiday classic "Deck The Halls" into Mixcraft using only synths and sounds found within Mixcraft Pro Studio. If/when I finish the transcription, would anyone like to have a look at the project file?

I would find it very interesting and hugely informative. Listening to the track it will need to include a fair bit of automation.
Thanks for the offer.

I was just thinking of doing something like them, but, I was going to call it, "My Mom's Steam Iron and Hair Rollers"
Re: Mannheim Steamroller Arrangement
After doing a quick web search, I found this forum link that discusses what Chip Davis used for some of the work. For instance, older Mannheim Steamroller studio work featured the Yamaha CS80, for which Mixcraft Pro Studio conveniently has an emulation instrument (ME80).
I'm only about twenty measures into the transcription, and I'm already impressed with just how much layering and doubletracking is used in these tracks.

Chip Davis is a master at layering....and your project will be quite labor intensive. I love doing some covers as its a form of reverse engineering. Its then when you begin discovering the different approaches an artist and/or producer uses.
I'm looking forward to hearing the finished product.
