Mixcraft + HUI Control Surfaces

Does Mixcraft 7 support HUI control surfaces?

Isn't the HUI protocol the same as the Mackie protocol? (Which is supported in MC7 I believe.)

I am woefully unaware that HUI and Mackie are the same protocol. Hmm. Guess I better start testing stuff.

I am not positive Anorax, but i think I recall reading that somewhere.

Searching google for HUI protocol and Mackie protocol pulls up the same wikipedia article, so I guess they are the same.

yes.but I believe there have been issues w/ certain control surface. for instance-

HUI was one of the first protocols that Mackie and Avid came up with to work with Pro Tools. Then Mackie went on and came up with their own so they could venture out to other DAW's. It is not the same though. I have an MCU Pro and when you boot it up you can go into three different modes. Mackie, HUI and Logic. So not the same but close. And as far as I know Mixcraft does not support HUI. I believe HUI is probably on it's way out the door.
