Update to build 303!

Post by Acoustica Greg »

Hi all,

Everybody using Mixcraft 7 should update to build 303, because it has some important fixes. Choose "Check For Updates" from Mixcraft's Help menu, or download from the link in your registration email.

• Fix for Preferences Control Surface serious crash
• Selected clips are now drawn inverted for better visibility
• Fix for multi-out virtual instrument issue when track was not selected
• Minor bug regarding invalidation of midi data after editing

If you don't have your registration email, you can retrieve it here: Acoustica Lost Codes page.

Works Great here :D I also tried a test mixdown at 48/32float and that worked great too.

OFC and others who have played in mixskin.ini and images in mixrez don't forget to save a copy of your changed images in mixrez and a record of the changes you did in mixskin.ini because this upgrade overwrites them.

BIG Kudos to the Acoustica team on this one! Less than 48 hrs after I brought the multi-out vst issue to their attention there was a fix.....AND this is not the first time this has happened as we all know. A few years ago EWQL broke wordbuilder in Symphonic Choirs in Play with one of their 'upgrades'. Again Acoustica had that fixed in about 2 days whereas Cubase (like Steinberg, the inventer of VST) users had to wait almost 3 months for their fix.

Now THAT is service. WTG Acoustica!!!

Agreed. Never saw anything like it, anywhere. Much appreciated.

The inverted track colours look wicked ! :D
May I suggest changing the child indent colour on the next update, I've changed mine from black to flourescent green and it is so much clearer when using submix tracks.

Thanks for the update. I'm not fond of the inverted track colour, is there a way to change them back to the old default eg a registry hack?

Maybe in mixskin.ini under CLIP STUFF about 1/4 down the file??

Now that the cat is out of the bag, someone should do a pic of the UI with the different parts labelled with their variable name ;)

Ooooohhhhhhh! I likey! And I'm no fortune teller but I'm betting that this is a step in the ability to customize colors direction. :D

So soon we'll be able to customize what we wish! Crossing fingers.

Does this help?
I did this really nice in Page plus but the descriptions text would not copy so this is the best i can do in paint.
Mixer track colour is self explanatory and mixer background is the blank area on the right of the tracks.

Cool!! You missed the playback head and it's line (can't remember names now), but you should post this in 'tips and tricks' for when folks want to change things.
