Anybody else has this problem ?

Post by mpoirier »

I use the latest version Mixcratf Pro 64bits in Windows 10.

If I use a 32bit plugin (iVST or VST) anywhere in Mixcraft, I get this annoying glitch in audio whenever the mouse cursor hovers over controls and switches its graphic (ie.: up-down to Arrow).

I reported this to support a while back but no news from them yet...

If you had this problem and found a solution please let me know !

Thanks

Sounds like a video card driver issue to me. Have you tried updating your video card driver?

Cheers

Is it a wireless mouse? Could be causing some issues?

I didn't have the same problem with mouse pointer but I was experiencing some issues with vst's that were very annoying, popping/clicking, and GUI problems until I updated my Nvidia drivers and that took care of everything. Video card drivers are much more important than just video.

All of the above plus...

I use the on-board video and get this faint buzz (maybe abut 900 Hz) when I'm using the USB corded (optical) mouse even without having Mixcraft open. If I was to take a guess, I would say it's signal path generated and not a software issue.

I remember I had this crackling during playback whenever I moved the mouse.
It is not present on my new PC.

Hard to say what that was. Each mouse move creates an interrupt, but there are plenty of those...

And not to belittle knowledge of the basics but making sure all other programs are closed and wifi is off can be cause for issue.

Is this on a laptop? If so, try running on battery instead of the power pack.

Thanks for all your sugestions.

This is not a constant buzz, it is not when I move the mouse, it is not signal interference, it is definitely not power supply or battery related... :? It does not happen when using only 64 bits plugins.

Let me re-state the issue:

"If I use a 32bit plugin (iVST or VST) anywhere in Mixcraft, I get this annoying glitch in audio whenever the mouse cursor hovers over controls and switches its graphic (ie.: up-down to Arrow)."

It only happens when Mixcraft switches the cursor's graphic.

As a senior software developer myself, I suspect a graphic buffering issue when drawing to screen... I just wanted to know if anybody else was experiencing the same issue.

Thanks! :)

I seem to remember something of the sort from long ago. Have you updated your graphics card driver?
