Newbie Q about silence at the end of tracks

Hi all !

I've encountered new little problem with my mixing.

It's the first time that it did that to me.

When I'm recording jingles music (for ads etc...), I have a strict time structure : 30 sec. Not less, not more (that's what the client asked me).

So my tracks was 30 sec. But I don't know why I've got a long dead silence for about 5 to 10 sec at the end of my tracks.
Even if I shut down the master fader.

Sometimes it comes from a delay effect that I have to shut off, but I would like to know if there is a mean to solve that without shutting of all my plugins to see which one is doing that.

I've tried to bounce with the loop mode on (L) to set the end of the track but it didn't work.

Thank you for your help all, it's strange because I felt like a real newbie with that problem .

PS : Of course I could rework the track after that, like a mastering thing, but if I can avoid that too it would be cool .

You could try splitting the track at the 30 second mark and playing it to establish whether or not it's appropriate.

It's probably some residual FX that you're not hearing, fading to silence. -h

It probably is an effect residual. What you can do is highlight your track from the beginning to where you want to end and mixdown using the track markers. . Look in the online manual for a sample instruction.

Try this:

Highlight from start to the 30 sec mark, as if you were going to loop it.

When you select your mix down properties, make sure "use selection" is ticked.

Yes it's probably an FX residual, a send track with a reverb that is going messy ^^...

Usually a reverb tail. You don't have to hear it.

Yep indeed, it often happens to me. As I use a lot of lush reverb sound for "corporate" music (don't judge me ).

Anyway, thank you for the tips !
