Hi
I'm trying to add a little modulation on a organ soundclip. The organ itself is a vst plugin from Native instruments FM8.
Funny thing is that if I try to add pitch bend it works alright. But the modulation effect is not heard.
A side note: Pitch bend function works find on any mixcraft build in organs.
Any ideas?

Re: Modulation wheel on soundclip - no effect
Assuming you are wanting to use the mod wheel or CC#1
Not familiar with that instrument. What is the mod wheel supposed to do?
Does it work in Kontakt stand-alone? Every so often NI comes out with vsti's that don't quite work like they are supposed to and sometimes they don't fix them

As far as I know the mod wheel doesn't automatically work with an organ vsti or a church organ because it isn't a characteristic of organ tones. You will need to use an effect within the vsti such as the rotary speaker in Acoustica's vb3 . You should be able to program a key to trigger an effect button.

Re: Modulation wheel on soundclip - no effect
The mod wheel tool is in the dropdown window in the MIDI section (Mixcraft)
It creates something similar like vibrato on a guitar. Quite handy
It could be that Mick is right. This VST plugin is not set up to work this way. I'll probably go with his suggestion and add that effect instead.
Thanks to both of you!

Hi,
Yes, as mick and chibear point out, keep in mind that some virtual instruments, or even virtual instrument presets, just ignore the mod wheel.
